Peep toe booties

[ Edited ]

It's taken awhile but they've grown on me.  They've never made sense to me.  The other night on a Shoe Shopping With Jane show they featured a  Bella Vita peep toe bootie  that I just love and the lower heel appeals to me.  Just not sure though.  I just don't see wearing them in the summer or with shorts/cropped pants or dresses/skirts.  Would look good with jeans or maxis though.   Maybe it's better to think of them as another type of sandal rather than a boot.  The free shipping today has me thinking.  What do you all think of them?

They are smart - sharp and modern.....BUT (as you pointed out) when to wear them?  On a summer day = don't think so, too confining and warm.  Winter when the style is more suitable - I don't want my bare toes snowplowing snow!  I'll let somebody else spend their money on this new fad.

I do like them but I do not wear them the way show hosts and celebs wear them.  I'm a real person and I live in the real world.  I have a pair, I don't wear them in the cold winter months, I don't wear them in the hot summer months.  Mine are tan, perforated and suede.  They have a comfortable (for me) 1 1/2 inch stack heel.  I wear them with maxis dresses/skirts and jeans and cropped pants in the spring when it's too soon for sandals but winter is over and again in the fall when it's too late for sandals but not winter.

I purchased a pair this last year and really have enjoyed them.   I wear mine with long pants and jeans with just a little ankle showing.  If you live in a cold climate these are not good for all year.   Mine are from Earth.  Woman Wink

I think they look fine on other people, but I would never wear them.  Just not a look I'm going for.  Not my style.

Thanks everyone!  I agree they're not for summer or winter - not here in PA anyway.  I ordered them - the free shipping was my excuse.

Althouth a little warm for the height of summer, for me they'd be perfect for that mid point when strappy sandals look too light with fall clothes.  They could be worn until your toes feel cold easily.Smiley Happy

I think some of them a cute, but they are too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.

I purchased these 3 months ago. As you can see on the bottom, haven’t figured out when or what to wear them with.
