I'm sure the color has been described somewhere on these boards, but I'm considering a newer bag in this color and would really appreciate descriptions. Is this a true mustard, a spicy mustard, a yellow-gold, is there a hint of beige or brown...? Really looking forward to hearing from those of you who own or have seen this color up close and personal!

I Googled this DB color & found this comparison chart on eBay. Maybe this will help?

Wow, interesting chart and I really wish some of those old bags would come back! Thanks so much for the link. The palomino in the chart looks a good bit lighter than the one posted on the Dooney site or here. I love that bag they show in old gold and what a great color!

I have the satchel in the Palomino and I would say it is a deep sunny yellow gold. No brown mixed in!

Thanks so much for the info, and I also researched and found an older thread or two where it was discussed. As pretty as it seems, I already have two golden yellow bags and was hoping for something a little more subdued, so I think I'll pass on the palomino. I appreciate the feedback and can now focus on deciding among other color options...

The "new" Dooney Palomino is darker than French's mustard, but not like Guldens...{#emotions_dlg.blink}

I checked out the Bay's chart, since I have an older zip around wallet (wallet on a string) and a handbag (R95 PL) both in the Palomino. The "new" Palomino is darker than the old awl shade, but lighter than the Yellow (from 1984) on the chart, (sort of a mix of the 2) if that makes sense.

Perfect description! I was hoping for Guldens of maybe even Dijon!
