 The Ryka sneakers I ordered came today.  They are the most comfortable I've had, and I've had good luck with Rykas.

Rykas big selling point is that they are modeled on a female foot, so they are built with a narrow heel and wider forefoot.  Those are my feet!   Plus extra high arches, and other things that make my feet "difficult".

These are even more comfortable than my previous Rykas-- could walk for miles in these.  Extra light on the foot.  Flattering assymetrical zig zag Mary Jane straps.  Tempting colors like navy, mint, gray, coral...

AND, free shipping!  See below.

I have 2 pairs of Ryka sandals.  Like walking on clouds.  I always get compliments when I wear them.

Yes, ditto for me, @Mz iMac.  Of all the shoes I wear I wouldn't have thought Rykas would draw that much attention or compliments, but they do!

I'll have to look into their sandals too...

I find some luck with Ryka and I have a friend in Canada who buys Ryka athletic shoes when she's visiting the Naturalizer outlet store in Las Vegas. Naturalizer stores in Canada do not carry Ryka shoes and now that Sears Canada has closed I don't see Ryka shoes in stores in Canada. When I was at a Naturalizer outlet store in Canada a month ago they only had two styles of Ryka sandals and no athletic shoes whatsoever.

I read Footwear News and recently read an article about how Caleres which is the parent company of Naturalizer, Bzees, Ryka, Lifestride, Franco Sarto, Sam Edelman, and Fergalicious has a lot of women executives working there. You would think that they would want to make Ryka shoes more available in bricks and mortar stores but I don't see them at all in Canada anymore and didn't notice any Ryka shoes in Macy's, Dillards, or Nordstrom when I was recently in Las Vegas.

I won't buy shoes online as fit is an issue for me and the likelyhood of buying shoes that fit is not good.

@TY I've seen Ryka shoes in Boscovs, DSW, Kohl's and DSW.  Not sure what B&M stores are near you.  It would be nice if they had a Ryka shoe store out there because you get more of a variety of their styles.  Unfortunately we see less and less of these stores.  We used to have a Skechers store in the mall near where I live and they closed down.

Yes, I empathize, @TY, fit is always a concern when buying online.  All my life I was a 5 1/2 medium.  After surgeries on both feet, I find that 6 wide gives me maximum wiggle room, and in most brands it's not too big.

In Ryka especially, I can go up in size like that, and not worry that the shoe will be too loose in the back around the heel.  Maybe if you've found the size in Ryka that works for you, you might want to take a chance some time online.  I would only do it if there were free shipping, though.

@Oznell I ordered the TSV.

It's only my second pair of Rykas.  The only other ones I got was a pair of open back suede slip on style.  It was during the winter.  They seemed a little short on me.  I normally take a 6 and that's what I ordered.

So for summer I wanted a quick sandal type to knock around in.  I again ordered a 6 and almost wish I ordered what you did.  I feel like the sandal bottom makes my feet sweat and I normally don't have that problem.  My feet are always cold.  The minute I put them on I felt like that material was drawing moisture from my feet.  I don't want to be bothered paying S&H to send them back.

Oh, those sandals are awfully cute, though, @Equuleus.  Hoping you'll somehow make them work!

@Equuleus

I hope your TSV sandals work out.  Mine are defective & going back.
