@willdob3 how were yours defective?  Just curious because mine had little nubs on the front and back.  I think it's where they injected whatever substance they use to cushion them.  I took clippers and clipped them off.

One of the straps was defective; the Velcro was in the wrong place and it didn’t grip to close it.

One of the velcro strap pieces on mine was too long and it's really hard to get it to go back through the buckle part.  I guess I can trim it. 

 

I don't usually expect to have to make fixes to my shoes when I purchase them.  LOL.
