Orthaheel inserts

I have 2 pairs of the Orthaheel inserts; they work well in all my dress shoes and boots. I have tried to order them and the Medium sells out quickly. My question is can I cut the larger sized ones to fit my shoes? I wear a size 10 Medium in most shoes. For winter I order wide width to accomodate the inserts and thick socks.
