Not What I Expected...

Were you ever surprised by your reaction to a certain style of bag? I thought I would never like the Campus Tote. It's larger than I usually carry. It has no zipper on top. And it has few inside pockets. Yet...surprisingly... I really like it. It's comfortable and convenient. The Mailbag is so cute. It has great reviews. I just can't carry it though. Even used as a shoulder bag it digs in and is uncomfortable for me. Are there any VB styles that surprised you in a positive or negative way?
