I'm taking my Natural Ostrich out tomorrow for the first time. I got the extra large Chameleon purse organizer in the mail today (thanks to the lady on the forum who recommended it), and I put it in the bag, along with the stuff I need, including a file folder with some documents. I'll be carrying the bag as a wide tote to accommodate everything. I didn't have a large tote, so this works well for me.

Hope your Natural Ostrich bag works well for you Lyn. I don't have any "smearing" on mine, although I did mention a tiny flaw, about a dime size part of the leather that is lighter in color than the rest. It certainly is not so obvious of defective to make me send my bag back and risk something worse. It truly is a gorgeous handbag. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I plan to enjoy mine. Haven't taken her out and about yet since she has been in "training" (makes me giggle) and it has been rainy, but I think I am going to get her out tomorrow as well. Hope you have a great ROMA day!

Mine has some sloppiness in the glazing, but it is not that noticeable, except to me. I think, with use, everything will blend together.

Someone should have inspected the leather first and rejected any that had issues. Wouldn't the leather have been done first before any bags were made out of it?

If I had any smearing, I would return it for a replacement or another color.

I got the natural ostrich, it is beautiful...I even trained it, but I took and returned it today...It just seemed to be to big for me...I gave it a five star review, and still give it 5 stars, but with so many wanting one, I decided to return mine...good luck

I got the Natural Ostrich and it is gorgeous, after a few uses it is buttery soft! No strange marks or anything. I sent back an Espresso Roma 2 the first round, this new one is amazing. If it's not right send it back!

Just received the ostrich today and, sadly, it's going back. At first, it looked perfect but when I took a closer look, there are what appear to be smear marks/streaks on the bottom. I couldn't tell if they are brush strokes or if it was caused by a bag. If they were only on the bottom, I may live with it but then I noticed defects in other places. On the side, there are two dark spots painted where there isn't any texture/bumps on the leather (if that makes sense) as well as a few other smear marks. I'm bummed as I really wanted the ostrich but it's not meant to be. I did, however, get the black, espresso lizard and snake. Those are beautiful and no issues. I hope those who received a perfect ostrich love it and carry it in good health.

I definitely noticed significant smear marks and sloppy workmanship on the handles that were very noticeable. I was so disappointed as I thought this bag was gorgeous, but I felt it was unacceptable. I sent it back.

YES, yes and yes!!! I actually ordered 2 bags intending to give one as a gift and BOTH had the smearing, sloppiness with the darker stain that is used to color the raised ostrich dots on the leather. One bag was way worse than the other and also included a lighter panel as well! Very disappointing to say the least. So, I strongly feel that it would be such a low percentage or chance to receive a "good" bag since I ordered not one BUT 2 bags and BOTH had the same issues. And of course there are other customers stating the same here also...what a shame! These all need to be pulled from stock for sure!

I ordered the black Roma 2 and I love everything about it. However, after using a couple of weeks, the black leather at the top of the one inside pocket has pulled away from the pocket. The black leather still has the stitching, but the pocket itself frayed and pulled away from the leather (I hope this makes sense). I do really like this bag. The snap closure is a plus, in my opinion. Would like to order the natural ostrich, but leery now with all the quotes about the 'smearing'.

My daughter received one that was on waitlist yesterday and had the smear marks ALL OVER IT and a few white spots in places...........beautiful purse but who can keep it with those defects from the start?

Contacted Customer Service and they are sending me out another one today...........even without getting my return yet. Hope it's okay for my daughter, hate to give mine up. But we moms do that don't we?
