I think they collect dirt easier than leather handbags and often look bad because of this.

I'm really not here to defend Vera bags, but I want to add that these bags are washable. There's no need to carry a dirty bag. Plus, I don't believe they "collect dirt easier than a leather bag." I don't get that.

If some don't like these bags, that's just fine. Different strokes, and all that. I think it's fantastic that we're not all cookie-cutter in our fashions and accessoires. That would be so boring. I just don't understand the need some posters seem to have in denigrating what some people like.

Not a handbag person. I don't have a problem with you disagreeing with me. I don't use VB bags but I have noticed when I see others with them, many of them look soiled.

I have a few leather bags and they don't look dirty. That's all.

I have three VB totes that I really like because they are lightweight which means I can fill them up and they are not too heavy to carry. I also have two VB handbags. They wash easily and are extremely high-quality; the straps don't break or fray and the bags are very well-made IMO.....I do think they are way overpriced but I only buy mine when they are 1/2 off or more online...I don't have to have dozens of these bags and I don't have to be the first person to carry a new pattern either....in the summer I tend to shift from my leather bag to a VB because they are so lightweight....I don't wear a lot of different patterned clothing so the bags are more of a colorful accent in my case. To each his own! I do wish they had more patterns that would be suitable for fall/winter but I guess with the cotton fabric they just stay with spring/summer patterns.

I have two of these bags [VB bags] and love them for the summer/spring season. Very well made and always get compliments when I carry them. They do not collect dust any faster then my other bags.. and they wash very well in the machine if need be.

I buy gallon containers of 303 High Tech Fabric Guard. Works on VB or any other fabric bags, as well as renewing or creating water repellency on your market umbrellas, decorative garden flags (we have a number of Disney flags for all seasons) , and LOTS of other things. Amazon.

For leather and suede, I use NikWax products. One is great for cleaning & waterproofing suede shoes, boots and handbags. Another works for regular leather shoes, boots and handbags. I generally order from Sierra. They often have free shipping, as well as discount coupons.

I seldom wear prints but I think VB bags are pretty. How sad is a person who has to attack another's taste so vehemently to make herself feel like she is better than a VB carrier ?

Oddly there a lot of people who need to attack others to feel superior.

I totally agree Ms Roses. The only Vera I've found that I like are the wristlets and I'm not talking about cell phone/gadget ones either.

BTW I LOVE roses too!!!
