I have always loved mules and have worn them most of my life... until 2010 and sttarted coming down the stairs and (I'm told) accidently kicked one off and fell to the bottom full force on my left cheek bone (hitting the bottom bannister).  Nearly died.  Had 3 brain bleeds and a concussion.... only remember starting at the top, then in and out while the paramedics stabilized me and got me to the hospital.  I hardly remember the first couple of weeks home.

Only shoes that are securely on my feet (with a back) from that moment onward..... Woman Wink

BUT, I think those Mules and Sidsmom's Mules are cute!!

Not a fan, don't own any, and I, too, like @sidsmom's the best! Smiley Wink

@Q4u How awful that happened to you. No wonder you no longer wear mules. I had a fall last month on the sidewalk..laceration above my eye,5 stitches and fractured a bone in my hand. That was bad enough.

I have a bad habit of coming down our wooden stairs in stocking feet,have slipped a few times.

Glad you're ok.💜

@Barb114

I saw them at Nordstrom, but they might be other places as well.

Thank you SO much,  sure appreciate your well wishes.  I was supremely lucky.  Even the doctors were floored I hadn't broken my face in a thousand pieces.  Looked like a pumpkin.   I only have a couple of residual affects, the mental response to going up or down stairs and an occasional "bobble" when I'm getting around like my balance is slightly compromised.  But I am so incredibly grateful to be here that I thank God every day!

I'm very happy to hear you're ok as well.... take very good care going down wooden stairs only in slippery socks!  Take care!

They are cute but I wouldn't buy them.  Too dressy, I wouldn't get much wear out of them.  But I do love mules,  I always have.  I bought a pair of Isaac's mule loafers last week.

All I own (except 2 or 3 pair) is mules.  Even my winter (snowy weather) shoes.

I don't like those styles though.
