What is it with these models never wearing socks? In the winter with closed toe shoes or boots! It makes me think that the shoes/boots will not fit if you do wear socks with them, and who doesn't? So I hesitate to order. And in fact, just bought a pair of Earth boots that were too narrow with my socks on!

My earth shoes are going back too.  I was surprised at how narrow they were.  Ugh!

I don't normally have to order a wide shoe.

With the advent of spray tans.  Hose and socks are out.

I noticed a lady on the news last night.   Her legs were so shiny you could use them as a mirror.

HD is not a friend, in my opinion.

Who wants to wear shoes without socks in the fall winter or even spring? First of all the shoes get all stinky, second, they feel terrible on bare feet and third, I want my feet to be warm! I don't wear socks with sandals or canvas shoes but that's it.

To each their own, but I hate wearing socks.  I don't think I wore any at all last winter.  And if my shoes are stinky, which they aren't, oh well.  They are my shoes after all.

I do not like the peep toe shoe at all, but I too did not wear socks here in MD all last winter. Bare feet with my driving mocs and bare feet with my uggs. My feet don't sweat at all but I know that some folks have that issue so socks probably provide more comfort for them. I have ditched panty hose and trouser socks. Maybe if my legs and feet get ugly, I will feel differently but I will hang them out as long as I possibly can! Loving the freedom at 62!

I wear summer shoes without socks -- flip flops and tennies and stuff, but when I dress up, I still feel naked/sort of tacky (just me) if I don't wear hose, so I've been wearing panty hose or a garter belt and stockings or tights in the winter. I just feel more dressed up in hose. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I think they make my legs look nicer -- and my legs are still in pretty good shape. BTW, the only panty hose at my height that actually fit are Legacy which are no longer available on QVC -- but I think I bought about every pair in my size off ebay.

Watching Isaac's show in hi-def, those models should have had some type of hose on. When they did a closeup shot on those cute shoes on Isaac's show, I could see every vein and bump in the models foot.

I don't want to be that up-close-and-personal.

Of course, I would not expect to see hose on a sandals presentation.

Stockings, panty hose, etc. give you a polished look.

Wearing a nice dress and dressy shoes with your bare legs exposed makes you look like a hoosier.

@Lapdog

You are correct. Stockings, unless opaque are old fashion. Women on the news have been going without them for years. Diane Sawyer and Katie Couric have both said they use Sally Hansen Airbrushed Legs......no stockings for them.
