Mae West's Shoes

These are a pair of Mae West's platform shoes, looks like in a museum.  Not sure I'd be able to walk in them, but maybe they aren't for walking!

Thought I'd seen plently of " oddly unique shoes ", but these  take the cake.

 She must have just been shuffling around taking small steps

Those "double-decker" shoes were custom-made stage props to make her look taller.    They cut her dresses longer to hide those "stumps"

Wow!  Look behind these, looks like shoes for bound feet.  Wasn't there news a bit ago about the last woman who died with these feet?
