Largest Dooney styles?

For the Dooney experts, are the largest all-leather bags simply the highest priced?

I see the messenger tonight, really catches my eye. It's$398 which appears to be the top of the price range for QVC D&B bags.

I LOVE a large bag, though and want to concentrate on those. This bag is 9.5" high, which is borderline for me. Any suggestions?

The only D&B I own is more of a North/South shape.

And BTW, what is the new naming fascination among many handbag designers with 'small' and 'mini'? Is that a big marketing pull? Are most of you into mini's and small's and I'm an aberration?
