Is it only denim that you have to be concerned about transferring dye to white patent? Or, can it happen with all colored non-denim fabrics one would be wearing?

I bought a white leather Chi by Falchi bag last year. I have kept it clean by using a good leather conditioner/protector on the bag before the first use. I was very sad to find out today that Carlos Falchi passed away last month. I'm glad I bought two of his bags last year.

I am very careful of which clothes I wear when using the white bag because dye color transfer is the real villain. This happened the first time I used the bag and luckily for me I was able to take all the dye off because I had protected the bag beforehand.

I highly recommend Whoohoo Leather Cleaner and Protector. It is pricey but they give you a lot and a little goes a long way. Plus it works! I also use a cotton ball and clean the bag after every use as well.

Yep, that's what I've heard. I know when I was looking at buying a light color Kate Spade handbag the sales clerk told me I would have to treat it with their leather conditioner weekly. I decided against it, but love the look.
