It never occured to me that there are about 5 foot shapes.  Of course some shoes don't fit my feet, but that has happened more often since I have spent a career standing.

Well, I learned a few things. Maybe it will help me in my quest for a good fitting shoe. I haven't been so lucky lately! Returned two pairs of shoes this month due to fit issues. Thanks!

Yes, there's quite a different between types.

I've posted these here before.

This is why I like to see a good steady camera shot of the bottom of the shoe or boot. 

You can adapt to ill fitting garments, but wearing footware cut in the wrong shape for your foot is torture!!

Very interesting @ECBG!  I also watched the video on foot shapes as suggested.  Even though my ancestry is mostly Germanic, I have a perfectly Egyptian narrow foot.

What brand of shoe have you had success with?  I have long skinny feet and finding a proper fit is very difficult.
