He leaves the house to commute to work at 6:00am and doesn't get home until 9:15 every evening. Frequently he works from home on the weekends and I have never been on a vacation when he is not on the phone with his office. In addition, the stress and responsibility that his has is as intense as it gets. The models, put on clothes and walk around so really - how low key can one get!!!!
I work with plenty of executives and I know what their work life is like. I also know their private life off hours and some mighty darn nice perks because of their jobs. I see the homes they own, the cars they drive (provided by the company and their own cars), the vacations they take, the 2nd home and vacation homes. So boo hoo. They work hard sure, but they also play hard and they are compensated very, very, very well.
This is silly, AND pretty harsh, Most people choose what they want to do with their lives and how hard they want to work. The ones who work the hardest, generally get paid the best, whether salary or perks. (yes yes I know there are hard working people who have not had the opportunites or education, and DO NOT get the pay or the perks, BUT this is not what this thread is about) The models know (as does anyone who has a job) what their employers expectations are and the policies under which they work.
EVERYONE also knows before they accept a job what the pay and perks are. And most everyone has the chance to make a better life for themselves if they want to badly enough.
Wow, I agree with the ssssgirl. It was harsh.
Anyway, the point I was trying to make - while it's sad that the model had to work while being sick, there is no need to "feel sorry for her". But that's just my opinion....everybody is free to express their own......Hope she feels better soon!
