Louis Vuitton has the tightest rein on their product out there! NO WEBSITE OUT THERE sells authentic Louis Vuitton except their own website Louis Vuitton.com. They used to own another website that they sold their product on a few years ago, but the counterfeiters copied the name down except they changed the "com" to "net". It confused the public so not long after, LV took the website down and proceeded to sell their product only on their one and only site.
As far as selling in exclusive department stores... LV leases the counter space, so in essence LV owns the counter space and provides their own employees to sell their product. The LV products sold at Neiman Marcus, et al are sold by LV employees only at counter space that LV leases, you'll never find a Neiman Marcus employee manning the counter. A store coupon, etc. would not apply to LV's merchandise there or any other store where LV leases counter space.
Louis Vuitton never wholesales. Never. They do not distribute their products to other retailers to sell. Their items never go on sale, are never discounted or clearanced out. If a style or piece has been on the shelf too long it is sent back to the factory of origin and destroyed...
They do not allow any other manufacturer to make their logos, so if you see fabrics with their Logos, LV did not make them, or cell phone skins, etc. Right now, LV does not make any of those fabrics or skins. But if they did, LV alone would be the ones selling it. This is how LV keeps track of their product.
AND, if you want something brand new made by Louis Vuitton, the only way to get it is to buy it from Louis Vuitton at full retail at either their Boutiques or their leased counter spaces at select high end Dept Stores or on line on their only website.
Hope this helps....
