I was dealing with my trade-in credit just now with Dooney.com and asked the guy I was doing my order with about a trade-in purchase I did last year. I traded in something and got a Croc Satchel with a retail price of $298. I think my trade-in credit was around $88. I never really liked the purse after I got it. My stuff just doesn't fit well in that purse and it is too stiff for me.

Anyhoo, wanted to know what my trade-in credit would be with the Croc and he told me it would be half the original retail price of $298. I always thought on doing a trade-in with a trade-in that you got half of what you actually paid, not the full retail.

Has anyone done this? I assume he knows what he is talking about.
