In Feel & Visually RIGHT SHOE IS SMALLER THAN LEFT in Most Shoes These Days

In Feel & Visually RIGHT SHOE IS SMALLER THAN LEFT in Most Shoes These Days.

Even my husband says that he can look down at the shoes I am trying on and can see the right looks smaller/narrower than the left, SO THIS IS NOT A CASE OF "You must just have a bigger right foot."

Is anyone else finding this shoe issue lately???

I find this 9 times out of 10...

Thanks for any input.

I have never found this.   If it's a 6, it fits me (both feet).

Several years ago, I ordered a pair of Clarks Clogs from an on-line website. I didn't realize until later, that one shoe is longer than the other. They were NOT a pair. I hardly ever wore them - still in my closet. BAD purchase.

I notice that the left and right shoes from the same style and color of shoes always varies in fit. It's why I always try on more than one pair of shoes if possible and pick the best fitting left and the best fitting right shoe.

I think with mass produced shoes the left shoe last and the right shoe last are not identical mirror images and shoes are mass produced so fit varies from style to style.

@Solar Is My NameI absolutely agree.  Ive had this happen w/Scetchers 3 times.  With the boots I could definitely see the difference in size.

I tried on a pair of Skecher slip on bungee cord shoes today and there was definitely a difference in the fit of the left and right shoe even though they both said they were a size 8. One shoe fit tighter and smaller than the other.

I have not encountered this and I own A LOT of shoes.

It is true that many people have one foot bigger than the other. When I was younger I always fitted my smaller foot.  With age came wisdom and the need for comfort.  I now fit the larger foot.
