I have more than enough covered toe shoes . I'd like to be able to wear open toe shoes. Pretty, feminine shoes.

@151949  Have you thought about peep toes or are you just wishing you could wear flip flops?

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

It sounds like the flip flops you were wearing are too small.  There's supposed to be some room between your toe and the end of the show.  That means when if you happen to walk into something, you don't stub your toe.  It seems like your toes come the very tip of the flip flop.  No wonder you find yourself bruising your toes.

You've gotten a lot of wonderful advice here.  May I please add, if your second toe is longer than your big toe, fit the shoe for the big toe.
