When I began purchasing Birk's I was unaware of the difference in the footbeds - be they regular or narrow, so I just ordered whatever it turned out to be.  Now, after being familiar w/the different footbeds, I find the narrow fit actually fits my foot better than the unisex regular size. 

Lately I've been having a problem w/my Arizona style sandals, regular footbed, leather upper rubbing my big toe on my left foot so bad I get a blister if I walk too much.  Never used to happen before.  I'm wondering if they changed the leather quality.  I'll have to stick to suede uppers and narrow footbeds if I ever purchase again.  Have not tried Vionic.  The toe bar in the Birk's really helps alleviate the pain from Morton's Neuroma in my foot.  Vionic I don't believe has that type of footbed.
