Yes, I wear them all the time---use a pair for in my house. I must have at least 10 pairs. My feet and toes are in good shape. I have all types --toe loops, back straps, flip flops, top straps in all colors. Just make sure I do my pedis once a month and touch ups in between.

I still wear them but not as often as I used to. My feet are still pretty (luckily) and I do my own pedi's but many times I am too lazy to do the polishing, LOL. I do like to have polished toes even though I could go without in public, to me it just looks nicer. I did take quite a fall a couple of years ago and that scared me a bit so I tend to shy away now from wearing sandals all summer long. I do wear lightweight Skechers without socks more than my sandals now.
When I was young I don't remember having sandals until I was in high school when the original Dr. Scholls came out. Other than that I beleive it was sneakers for the most part and nice school shoes.

@wilma. I have a wardrobe of fisherman's style sandals similar to these in all the basic colors to go with anything. None of mine show toes, some have a back strap, some a full back. Many have an arch support.

I've never had pretty toes (they have been slivers of nailbeds from birth). I have never worn casual sandals, and before the many types and styles of cute summer shoes we have today, I was pretty much a Keds, espadrille girl during the summer months. I will not wear pantyhose with a true strappy sandal, but with dress peep toes, I can conceal my exposed slivers with sheer pantyhose. For this reason, I generally only wear open-toe shoes for dress-up events and church.
These days the decision has been medically removed from my hands because, after several foot surgeries on both feet, I must wear supportive enclosed shoes and boots. I am ever so grateful for brands like Springstep, Springstep L'Artiste, Rieker, Rieker's Remonte, Easy Spirit, Pikolino, Josef Seibel, and Clarks, to name a few brands that make supportive shoes that are comfortable and can meet my style requirements.

I have a few original earth sandals I wear occasionally.
Also two pairs of SAS which are comfortable and don't have Velcro. They actually have buckles. My feet don't sweat in them and they do not irritate my feet. Pure leather, no artificial prints which when applied the leather amount is reduced.
I started having pedicures and needed thongs to wear after.
I purchased these from the Q they are a size too large, I needed a wide which isn't offered.
I have wide feet and a small bunion. I don't think toes are particularly attractive, neither are bunions.
I have no depth perception and occasionally trip, it's the reason I wear mostly closed toe shoes.

I don't wear sandals in public places, except around water. I like to keep my feet clean and sandals don't offer much protection from whatever is on the ground, especially flip-flops where those actually flip stuff up onto the backs of your heels and legs...gross.
Ever see what people 'discard' onto the pavement, sidewalks and parking lots?

@SilleeMee. That's why feet were made to be washable.

Well @wilma, I just don't know if we can be friends (g) JK! I am all about flipflops for as long as I can and in Texas that's 9 months of the year. I'm sue what started my love of flip flops was my terribly hot natured self. Also, when wearing capris, one's foot showing helps to elongate the leg. I'm 5' tall. I need all the elongating I can get. But the capris don't capris don't help elongate the leg I'm so short that carpis,on me, are close to hitting my ankle. I started my flip flop wearing career with Nike and then discovered YellowBox. Nike is more sporty, my Yellowbox collection is more flirty and blingy. I will wear flipflops in 55 degree weather. I don't really care if people think I'm nuts. At least I look nice as a nut
Also have this one in baby blue also...

There are 6 more pairs but they aren't on the YB website any longer. Also, I wear the type that has the part between my toes vs a band across the top to elongate my leg/foot. Yes, I'm obsessed with Yellowbox flipflops
