My metatarsals have been aching horribly lately. I soak them in epsome salts. It eases it some. I want to check out the pads you mentioned on amazon. I am interested what others had work for them also.
@ECBG  hope your pain eases. ❤️

@godiDid you get the foot pads?  If you did hopefully, they worked.Smiley Happy

Re: How Many Of Us Deal With Metatarsal Pain?

There are several different arches in the foot (medial, lateral and transverse).  I had Metatarsal pain this summer, and bought and wore Spenco flip-flops. The Spenco brand specifically has a metatarsal arch (transverse arch) in contrast to Vionic that supports the lateral-medial arch.  My pain is now gone. Just my experience but I hope it helps!

Re: How Many Of Us Deal With Metatarsal Pain?

I have Morton's Neuroma in my left toe/ball of foot area.  Even had a decompression surgery which did nothing for the pain, and made my foot feel numb and painful at the same time (if that makes any sense).

Only thing that alleviates my pain are Birkenstocks.  Sneakers that are helpful are by Altra.  They are shaped like the shape of your foot, no tapering in the toe box area and they are zero drop meaning they are level from heel to toe - therefore no pressure being forced upon the forefoot area.

Pads didn't really help me and they just felt odd under my sensitive foot.  Yoga toes I think are helpful.  I was using them for awhile, but I stopped.  Should probably go back to using them.  I wouldn't recommend the decompression surgery if anyone has a neuroma.  I think its better to just get the neuroma surgically removed.  It's a more invasive surgery but I've heard that it alleviates the pain in most circumstances.
