I agree. I've never thrown a bag - good quality or not - in my life.
It seems overly-silly to me. If I was the manufacturer or designer, I wouldn't think it was funny at all.
And I don't care if someone is catching it or not. It's a handbag, not a football.
Excellent posts, ladies ! ITA

And I always think of the hours that the craftsmen spend perfecting the beauty of the bag. Kerstin is definitely not one of my favorites. You can tell by her body language that she really thinks she's hot! Well not to me. Give me a professional host like Mary Beth, Leah, Rachel, Jennifer or Stacey any day!
And you know this, how?

OMG I can just imagine someone throwing a mixer when the color sells out! Or how about one of those cookers they were featuring yesterday? I'm sure someone off stage catches the handbags. I think it's funny.

Maryebrown, because when you purchase an "As Is" handbag, the information from QVC states that the product may be a customer return, on-air presentation item, etc.

I like the bag-throwing. It wakes up the audience. The host also needs to stay awake - especially during those long night hours. I'm sure the bag will be given to someone -- not sold. Maybe Kerstin is taking it home. They do get samples of the products they sell.

There are plenty of other colored items with the proper aerodynamics to be thrown when colors sell out! I thought that was obvious when I stated other items. I guess not though....On 3/12/2015 Johnnyeager said:Thanks for that! I thought it was obvious but I guess not for some....It's easy to just toss a bag, grab the handle and hurl it. Clothing would have to be balled up and wouldn't have the proper aerodynamics for easy flight.

You don't have to dignify your response to posters with the Honey Boo Boo mentality.
Anyone who does not like to look like stupid QVC shopper understands what you are saying.

I am all for a fun presentation, but I don’t consider throwing the product around as being very professional or respectful to the vendor. It doesn’t matter what time of day or night it is, they are at work representing a vendor with a product that is valuable and should be prized enough to make you want to spend your hard earned money on it. If they don’t think much of the product why should I? JMHO

I care. I've never thrown a handbag around as though it's junk, and I've never seen anyone else do it either.
If they want to act as though they're showing quality merchandise, they shouldn't toss that merchandise around. Things of value should be treated more respectfully than that, and I think it sends a terrible message and cheapens the product.
(And how is it amusing? Grown women throwing things is funny? I don't get that at all.)
