Interesting story on ABC yesterday regarding extremely high levels of Lead in colorful handbags made from PVC and Vinyl. Worst offender looked to be Tory Burch bags. (Lordy am I glad that I have never spent that kind of money for something so toxic...) Clearly this is a major issue with bags produced in the orient. The Q should offer some pre-emptive communication about the Lead content of their bags trimmed in PVC and Vinyl, don't you think? I don't plan on chewing on my purse straps but Lead can be absorbed through the skin.
