Help!! Trying to find out some info on the signature margot crossbody

The item number isA203914. I am a big girl and the description says that the handle drop for the shorter handle is only 7 inches, but some of the reviewers have said that you can make it longer. I really need an 8 inch or more drop, and I am wondering if any of you ladies have this bag and can give me any info on it. They said something about being able to adjust the handle in some way (maybe there is an extra hole that you can't see in the pics or something). This bag is perfect except for that and I would really like to get it, but I am wary....
