I'm so upset right now...I started carrying my carmela in Coconut last Friday and today, when I was walking to my office and saw her on top of the file cabinet, I noticed she has a small tear. I haven't even registered her yet! It is very small, like 3/8 of an inch in lenght, right where the front panel meets the side panel. It just basically tore in the 'vein' between the embossing. I think the embossing was too deep in that section or the leather was uneven and because of how the leather folds in that section, it just broke.
I called Brahmin and they told me that I will have to send it so they could assess the damage and according to it, they will fix it or replace it. So I could send it and end up having it back with just a dab of glue on it? that's crazy...I can do that without having to send her...or they could replace her if fixing her is not possible...but I was reading what the site says about repairs/replacements and was surprised to read that they say that if they have to replace it and they don't have it available, they will replace it with the same one or a similar one based on the purchase price stated in the receipt. I bought that one on sale...so if not available I could end up with a wallet, one of the cheaper ones...
Have any of you sent any bag for repair/replacement? how was your experience? What was the damage and was it repaired or replaced?
