Shoes

Don't be embarrassed to say that you collect shoes! Some people collect other things: you and I collect shoes. I have gotten better about parting with shoes that I haven't worn in a while but I am a shoe collector with a little over 100 pair in my collection-ha! I am pretty particular in how they're stored, too. Most of mine are in their original box (though I read somewhere that it's not good for the shoe) and organized by style. I recently moved and think that need to downsize the shoe collection a little more. Luckily, there are places around here to donate gently worn footwear.

Far too many.... and that includes lots of Western boots. I am about to give some away to my visiting daughter who takes the same exact shoe size.

I had to go count!  15 pair shoes, 3 "dress" boots, two pair outdoor winter boots.

@catlover  You don't really want me to count them do you??!! LOL  I have tons, I've donated tons and I can imagine what folks are thinking about this. I do know around here some charitable orgs do take them.

I had a guy over doing a tune up for my a/c. 

He saw the shelves of boots (in boxes) I have down in my basement and thought I was an UGGS and Sorel reseller.  Uggghh. that's pretty bad!!

I am a shoe nut!  I started counting and lost track, but I have approximately 250 pair.  This is the first year I have not bought a lot of shoes.  I can only think of two pair I bought this year and they were Issac loafers.  As part of my cullling of closets, etc. I am in the process of going through shoes and will part with many that I don't really want to, but cannot wear now because of heel height.  With so many shoes to choose from the issue is that none are very worn and are all are still in great condition, so worn out shoes aren't an issue in helping me pare down my shoes and I still love them all!  But some will have to go in the next few weeks as I re-organize.

Growing up I wore a 6-1/2 wide shoe (this was in the 1950'/60s) --- and it was almost impossible to find heels in wide width for work - so my feet were always miserable. Since I started watching the Q around 20 yrs ago - seeing the Clarks, Ryka & Birkenstock shows where they had wide-width shoes ---- I now have around 75. I don't wear boots --- just clogs, sandals, closed-toe and tennis shoes. I have a big customized walk-in closet and am almost out of room for my shoes. I do have to stop ordering!!!!!

I have one pair of closed black leather Naturalizer shoes that are over 20 yrs. I really want to toss it out - but they still look good. I have lots of other shoes that are 10-15 yrs old.
