I was waiting all day for the Gili backpack. At 10 tonight I quickly dialed and was ordering I on the phone because it wasn't showing online, and within a minute it sold out. I am on waitlist, but disappointed.

I consider you lucky! After the Roma 2 mess, now you can wait for reviews. You are brave to want any GILI bags at all.

They are all listed on waitlist, might want to get in on it while the waitlist is still available.

Despite all the issues with the other GILI bags and the price, I did order one this time. I like leather bags, but I'm not into bags with logos and this price is my entire handbag budget for the year, but the versatility of this bag and the blush color just spoke to me. I hope whatever problems they've had have been fixed with this bag and it's not a mistake.

I ordered it in black because I travel in Europe and black would work best. I wish I knew if it was secure, I know it has a zip pocket on the back but I was wondering about the opening.

I believe there is a draw string under the top flap.

I agree. After the low quality of the the first bag, I wouldn't purchase this line of bags at all. I think the only reason it sells well is because Lisa sells it. If any other show host sold it, it wouldn't sell so well.

Well, I consider myself lucky because I got the GILI Vintage Leather Hobo and the quality of its leather is absolutely amazing!!!! I think it was a steal for the price so I ordered the backpack as well.

A trick for the future - go and order it online exactly 5 min before the show starts! If you watch the show and decide you don't really want the bag, you can always cancel your order.

I did my research and tried to find a similar style convertible leather backpack bag with no luck. There are some but not even close to this design.... got one in black....perfect for my trip to Europe!

I ordered this bag in caramel. It is beautiful. I plan on using it for 25 days straight as soon as I get it. I usually carry a Dooney, and this is my first GILI item. If it shows any signs of falling apart, back it goes. I am hard on my bags. this is a backpack, and should be able to stand up to being thrown around.
