I didn't like the straps on the larger version either. The shorter strap was too short for the size of the bag and the longer strap was too long for the size of the bag, at least for me to use either of them in any kind of regular fashion. Also found the double zippers made it hard to access the bag... Very pretty to look at, but just too many design flaws to make it a workhorse of a bag...
