Greetings!

A few weeks ago I ordered a nice pair of sandals from a local department store.  They finally showed up and....much to my chagrin there was only one shoe in the box.  I immediately called the customer service department.  I took a picture to send to the associate because I was concerned that if I try to return just the one shoe it could be a problem.

Well, the customer service person said...happens more than you think.  It was a factory problem because they were shipped directly from the manufacturer.  She told me to keep the shoe and donate it and they sent me another pair (which arrived with both shoes) and a gift card for my troubles.

Good Grief!

Glad it worked out for you.

Who would want 1 donated shoe?

Someone that has to wear a medical shoe I guess, my husband has had to wear one for a year, it happens but I can't imagine a lot of demand for one shoe lol.

@Franklinbell  Throw it away. How stupid to tell you to donate ONE shoe. Good grief what was that person thinking?

@scatcat  Actually I know two ladies with one foot. Met them at a day spa I frequent and they host a wounded warrior weekend a couple of times a year. I was seated by one lady in the nail salon getting pedicures. Had so much fun and even "joked" about her only having to pay half price. That broke the ice and we ended up being friends.

I agree with some of the other posters, there are a LOT of people with one leg, from the military, to car accidents, etc.

Can you imagine what they would deal with, trying to buy ONE shoe at department stores?

I read an article recently about a woman who got one leg trapped by an escalator in a mall and EMTs had to amputate her leg to free her!

I say donate that one shoe!

Not much chance of someone walking in the door at Goodwill or whatever looking for a one right or left shoe in a certain size and wearable style.  Too bad, such a waste.

Somewhere in this world, the mate to that shoe is looking for its partner.
