I'm watching the presentation of Fly London "Yisk." They're cute multi-strap sandals for $175.
This is being represented as a European brand. But when the shoe is held up to the camera, it's clearly printed on the inside strap "Made in China." So how can that justify this price tag?! ![]()

It’s all about the hype.
i own a pair of the booties. They are comfortable. Their sizing is inconsistent

I know I saw a pair of sandals for $175 but can't get over the price. Might as well buy another pair of Birkenstocks.

@handygal2 I think it's alot like Earth shoes.
Several years ago I bought a pair of Mary Janes (several years ago) that had the negative heel design that I remembered from the late 70's. I ordered them directly from Earth and I saw an American flag. Honestly I thought they were so expensive because they were made here. Well, when I received the shoe, the flag was related to American design, lol.

They have several pairs I really like, but I cant justify the cost, I dont care where they are designed or manufactured. I can buy Earth (which I love) and Clarks and for me they are just as good as Fly and not so expensive, I do buy all my shoes on sale.

The thick white bottoms on the Fly London Shoes reminds me of Bzees shoes. I think it's a hipper look than Bzees. But I am not paying $175 for them.

Fly has some cute styles, but nothing I would pay almost $200 for. I own some Fly shoes and can attest that they are super comfortable, but $100 is the most I have ever paid. Last summer during an end of season sale at a local shoe store I nabbed a lovely pair for $50.

Agree- I was tempted but I can’t justify the price either! My life is very casual and I won’t wear them enough to get my money’s worth- I’ve noticed a lot of shoe brands that were not previously at the $100 a pair level , are now!
I’m not making the money I used to make (semi retired now) so much more restrictive with spending- I want to get my money’s worth out every purchase-
My personal rule is I never pay full price for anything.

So many apparel and accessories companies have raised their "manufacturer's suggested retail" prices so dramatically, while their items continue to be made in China. These MSRPs are unrealistic, IMO. So I wonder where all of this extra money is going. Is it simply greed on the part of these companies?!
