Florentine Leather ??

I bought the small Florentine leather satchel in the Fushia and Chestnut. I noticed early on that my Fushia bag got scratched very easily! I don't have long nails at all. Everytime I touch this bag it gets a scratch. I haven't even taken it out to use yet since I'm not sure about keeping it. It is also heavy for me. It isn't a bag I'd want to carry around a mall. I would only use it where there are carts to hold it.

My question is, has anyone else found this bag to scratch up so easily? And it does not rub out like the lady says it does.

Is Dillion leather better? Does that not scratch? Thank you for any help you can give me.
