Fixing a Scratch on Leather

Here is one for you Ladies that has probably been posted before but I can't seem to find it. I am looking at a Navy Satchel that has a scratch on the front of it. Other than the scratch, the she is lovely. How do you repair your scratches or how can I make this less noticeable? Thank you so much for your answers and suggestions. My DH says to use shoe polish but that just scares the bejesus out of me. And where am I going to find navy shoe polish? I know I can count on you ladies to come through for me.
