Feeling Guilty Narrow Sandal/Shoe Wearers?

I was wondering whether any of you who wear narrow shoes or sandals are feeling guilty due to the seemingly endless complaints regarding the Clarks most recent Leisa sandal? They have not tried providing footwear for narrow feet women since 2005 I heard their representative say when it was offered during the presentations. All these years, months when at least one or more footwear being offered as a TSV never included narrow. Now, it seems as if just because this one sandal offered narrow, now all of a sudden seems like the sandal was only made in narrow if you read the reviews. From the hurting of the top of the foot on the underside, which we know it is soft on the underside and not remotely scratchy, chemical smell, which when I opened both pairs of mine, all I smelled was leather. To the best one which says out of all the sandals made and shipped straight from the manufacturer, some folks received the only flaws in design. Really?  I wonder whether the most outrageous reason you post as a review results in return postage not being mandatory for the customer to pay. Sure seems like it. Wish QVC had a response button to respond to what people are obviously making up and so far from the truth, it makes me angry. For me, they are perfect. For me, I just shake my head. This won't make up for all the TSV which were only for medium, or wide, but personally, I hope that if the reviews are read by Clark, they are able to distinguish fact from fibbing. Guess those who have never felt that those of us who have narrow feet mattered are now trying to use us to eliminate narrows from ever being offered again! Even when they have their October Shoes on Sale, how many narrows are offered?

I hope QVC does not really stop what has been started in this first to my knowledge TSV providing narrows for those of us who need narrows and love footwear as much as Jane. Why should we be the only ones to routinely and mostly have to try, test and spend our money mailing back shoes because they are not made for narrow feet? Now, if nothing else, those who have been enjoying for years being able to shop on the Q and buy footwear now get to know how a narrow foot woman feels.  Smiley LOL

Re: Feeling Guilty Narrow Sandal/Shoe Wearers?

@RetiredBkPeddler Interesting post. I have very narrow feet and usually, Clarks’ narrow shoes are still too wide for me. Well, I bought two pairs of the recent Clark’s TSV. I was hopeful that the adjustable straps would make it possible for me to wear them. I received them and guess what? I LOVE them!! They fit my narrow foot (8.5N) just fine! They’re very comfortable. I love the fact that there is finally a comfortable Clark’s shoe in narrow that I can actually wear. Do I feel guilty? Not in the least!!!!!

Re: Feeling Guilty Narrow Sandal/Shoe Wearers?

You and I are very similar. I was maybe very infrequently one to read and see if someone who has narrow feet would purchase and give the answer as to whether they worked or not for them. I am like you and before these sandals, I would only order my footwear from Naturalizer site because they have a couple of their footwear in narrow each season if lucky. Otherwise, nothing. I am like you a true narrow. These are also for me perfect. I read also that there was a chance medium width would have also worked. But, I wanted to try narrow as they went out of their way to provide them and so glad I did. I got I think at the time they showed you what the TSV is going to be coming up the red and yellow. the red is a wonderful hue of red. I forgot I do have a pair of Comfortiva I purchased from QVC which cost me $100.00 a couple years ago and they are in red, but deeper. If they offered narrow, it was only Comfortiva or Sofft (something other) and they were not inexpensive.  So far, as of today, I have worn both of the Leisas and I have no regrets. If they had another color which I thought I would like, I would have ordered another pair. I am not a fan of white, kept reading too many different views of the rose gold and the other two which were of two colors did not appeal to me.  I am glad I am not the only one. I wonder whether the footbed is really different from their others or just because they offered narrows, those with other widths of feet are simply using it as an excuse. I can't believe they redesign the sandal to only fit narrow, otherwise, they would not have offered narrow an extra choice and they could have offered narrow disguised as the medium all the time.

Re: Feeling Guilty Narrow Sandal/Shoe Wearers?

I wear narrow width shoes and purchased the Clark's TSV.  I absolutely love them!  Finally a pair of sandals that I don't walk out of.  Not sure what people are complaining about, but PLEASE do not mess this up on us with narrow feet!   When I attempt to try mediums, I have to wear socks.  Let's face it, lots of shoe styles just don't work with socks!

Re: Feeling Guilty Narrow Sandal/Shoe Wearers?

I have never thought to wear socks.  I do find that narrow footwear which is really made for narrow feet are scarce. Even when you search for say a style you like and hope they make narrow, you are going to pay for that narrow. Or, you feel as if you need to get whatever it is in more then one color because you know say a boot or even a sandal will not be so easily be found in narrow so just in case, even if you don't wear it. I have two pairs of brown purchased with two pairs of black and I have rarely if ever worn the brown. I was compelled because they were thinking at a special price and they were narrow.

It is funny though how some people who wear a medium, some who wear wide have found that their size in the Leisa fit them, while there are others who are complaining that the footbed is too narrow. Returned because you can see the velcro. How are adjustable sandal straps suppose to be adjustable without you seeing based on how you adjust some of the velcro? Who gets down on the ground to look at how a sandal is adjusted. I believe simply cannot believe as some keep writing just because Clarks added another width for narrow, we have changed drastically how the Leisa was made. As a result, I think it is simply a bandwagon some women have gotten on to have an excuse to return the sandals.

What I think is how many other people wanted sandals in the sizes which have sold out when you have others who got the sandals and have sent them back due to their getting in their minds they are either not like the Clark sandals they have purchased before, or they are too narrow. As I have written, I looked at Clarks and on sale, they are more than the TSV cost for the Leisa. As low only as $65.00, depending on the size and width, might be able to get for $55.00 without shipping on Amazon.com. With that said, why would anyone think you are going to get $80 something in cost for a sandal which was less than $50.00?

Even Naturalizer and other brands have a less expensive brand, still leather, but something separates them from their higher end. Some people wrote they will return to the Alegria or some other brand which resembles Birkenstocks. That shows where their heads are because those brands are some of the ugliest in my opinion and glad one brand does not come in narrow and the other is ridiculously expensive when you find they come in narrow sizes.
