Ellie Blue Accordian Wallet Question

I purchased the Ellie Blue Accordian Wallet to go with the TSV Sweet Pleat. The bag is fne, but the wallet has a very strong odor. Sort of a petroleumy-dye smell. I have aired it for a week & it hasn't decreased at all. Has anyone else had this problem? There are a couple of reviews that are positive, so am wondering if mine is an exception. I really don't think I can carry the wallet, which I like, the way it is. Any input would be appreciated.
