Hi Q4U,

   All three pair of boots arrived tonight and I agree with you on all fronts. The red pair fit better than the brown, which struck me as peculiar. They definitely aren't smooth leather and the heel feels and smells like plastic. I plan to check the black pair tomorrow when hubby isn't home! Lol  My brain is unable to comprehend the cost! How are these worth more than the MF Affinity peep toe boots? Those are gorgeous and fit perfectly. I am hesitant to send these Earth Origin boots back due to shipping costs. I always use UPS since they are close to me and I can follow the tracking. I return an item and am reminded in a day or two. The last time I used USPS it took over two weeks! Crazy. I didn't have to adjust the buckles....one plus! Lol We shall see....ugh.

I am SO sorry about your experience with your purchase.  Mine went back this morning. I am still stunned at how much these are compared to what I already own.  I also don't see what on earth (no pun intended) makes these so much more money!! And comfort is the key for me too....  they just weren't for me.  Unbelievable.      

The return shipping through USPS is not super slow, 5 - 10 days and the label (you have to print it out yourself) will cost you $6.95 each (and insured).   If you send it Priority USPS it'll be around $17.  I don't know what UPS costs...

I just saw these were a hot pick today and thought they were SO cute.  Thanks for the feedback though.  I don't need another trip to the post office.

I see that Nordstrom carries these boots but I think only online.  I am thinking about getting them there (free shipping).  That way if I need to return them, I can just drive them back to a store.  

The reviews sure are mixed.  Everyone says they are cute but several people have said they are uncomfortable.  I read the one review on Zappos and it too talked about uncomfortable fit.

Those are nice looking, thanks~!  I had a pair of Clarks with the scrunching in brown and loved those....  I'll look them up!

I actually took another chance and bought the EO tall shaft boots in Merlot.... keeping my fingers crossed.  I love the look of them and love the lug sole, they'll be good in the winter and look great....
