I've recently taken my bags out of their dust bags so I can see what I actually have.{#emotions_dlg.blush}

I've never kept any bags in dust covers, but a pair of shoes fit perfectly in them for traveling.

I dislike the DB dust bags. I have a red leather bag that got some of the blue on the handle. I toss all of them and use pillow cases instead.

that reminds me of ""dirt bag"".....so I'm wondering why they don't call it a slipcover or something.............

You won't be missing anything if they don't. DB dust bags are the worst in the business IMO.

Just be careful there have been reports of color transfer from the dark blue dust bag to some lighter shade bags. I personally store mine in white pillow cases.

Wow, thanks to jaxs mom and to all of you who mentioned the color transfer and the low quality of the D & B dust bags. I want to protect my investment and really appreciate the warning, especially since I'm getting a "natural" color bag. This is why I love this forum! Thank you all and have a great weekend!

Best thing I've found for all my bags - zippered baby (12" X 16") and zippered travel (16" X 20 ") pillow protectors.

I attach a small laminated picture of the bag to the zipper pull. You can buy these bags for a few dollars almost anywhere. They're available in 200TC, 300TC, 440 TC Egyptian cotton. Available in white, ivory, navy, burgundy, hunter green, polka dot and zebra prints.

Wally World sells them, also.

Mostly, I use the larger travel pillow size, but the small baby size is nice for small bags.
