Just came from returning sandals to DSW.  I am so disappointed to see the POOR quality of so many of the shoes and sandals.  Most brands seem to have cheapened their raw materials.  Some actually look like plastic and the insides of some are just awful.  Clarks for one has gone downhill in quality.  No more for me. I hope Alegria, Merrell, On Cloud, to name a few do not ever dhange.

I never found DSW to be much of a discount.  The store here in Chicago closed years ago.  Don't miss it.

Many, including the expensive Miz Mooz have soles so thin, you feel every pebble on a pathway.  No effective padding in the insole.

I think they're making them cheaper to maintain the old pricepoint.

I have a pair of Cole Hahn pink boat shoes from DSW to be delivered tomorrow.  Cole Hahn quality is usually top notch.  Hope the same is true from DSW.  Definitely not much of a discount price at DSW.

I am a BIG fan of Merrell sandals.  I own eight pairs and they all are super comfortable and they don't wear out.

I like the Terran post wrap style, but they have a step in Terran style as well.

The uppers are made with leather and scuba fabric.  They never rub or stretch out and it is okay to get them wet.

They are not dressy sandals, but are wonderful for everyday wear.

I always get them on sale either on the Merrell website or from Amazon.  I got my first pair at Marshall's.  I always check to see if they have them when I am there.

I own Clark's, Algeria, Mz Mooze, Birkenstocks, Sketchers,  Fit Flops and a bunch of other brands.

Merrells are definitely the most comfortable and I wear a pair everyday...when I wear shoes. They last forever too.  I have a pair that is about seven years old.  I got paint on them, but other than that, they are very wearable.

I like Merrell's as well,,,when they fit me!  I also like FitFlop and the quality is very good but they are too wide for my foot.  I have tried several styles, sandals and closed.

I like Designer Shoe Warehouse, but for some reason can't find exactly what I'm looking for.

They have fairly good brands.  I agree though, manufacturer's are cutting back on quality with shoes.

Not happy about that.

I've had a DSW in my town that opened probably 8 years ago...I only just went into it last summer. Was not overly impressed, as compared to the last one I'd been in, probably 15 years before that. Like with everything...quality has gotten so cheap, mostly faux leather shoes etc.

I finally was able to try on Cloudstepper thong sandals there, I'd often considered buying on Q...glad I never did...they just don't fit me that well (61/2 med) or feel comfortable. Nothing for me beats my Spenco (can't speak for Revitalign yet) thong Yumis, which fit me like a glove and feel perfect on.

I haven't been back since. I do actually however, find more random but better options with my Marshall's. I've found cute sandals, sneakers, shoes, boots there, good brands, great prices.

We don't have a DSW nearby so have not been to one for a few years, I'm sad to hear that the inventory is changing this way. I buy online from Naot, I think their product is reliable, I also like Algeria and Birkies but am not happy with the Skechers or Cloudsteppers I've bought or tried on in the past year.

Are you folks still happy with Vionic?
