D@B Ladies...do you think???

Ladies I am thinking of getting the TSV coming up as my first Dooney Bag in taupe...do you think this may be a really good bag for first purchase? This is a considerable purchase for me...yet have really wanted a Dooney @ Burke handbag... If not do you have another suggestion???Open to any ideas...Thanks for your time!!!
