I am apologizing up front for starting a thread in DB that has nothing to do with handbags. But something happened last Fri in my town that I am just sick over, and I thought maybe some of you Ladies may have suggestions. I will try to be brief.

My local police went into a motel room here chasing a man on a warrant for breaking probation I don't know what he is on probation for. The people whos' door the man knocked on did not know him it was random he was desperately trying to get away.

Now understand I am "pro police" in most situations (my husband has a background in law enforcement and a degree in Administration of Justice).

But here's what happened: They barged in the peoples' door and their two small dogs ran towards them, a Boxer puppy (small) and a small pregnant Chihuahua mix and the police shot the dogs dead right there in the doorway. Now I am particularly sensitive because my Coco is a Chihuahua and I have come to love them so much.

The other thing is our police dept has a long history of shooting peoples pets. You are able to view the video re this on our local tv station just go to: KRCR Redding CA ( as everybody knows I cannot for the life of me do a link) somewhere on the left side of the home page it says something about the case click on it and it will bring up a video.

The little Chi was licking her belly where the puppies are and they shot her again! They said later that shooting the Chi was an accident but I assure you that is not true. They apologized but to me that is not good enough. What I want is to know how I can bring attention to what happened and to whom would I file a complaint.
