I remember a while back that someone asked the question if Coach handbags offered through the outlets were the same as those offered in the stores. I was in a Coach store yesterday looking at the new handbags which were beautifully made, good quality leather, and worth the money. A couple bags caught my eye but I didn't buy anything; mostly because I really don't need another bag and besides, my practical side was reminding me that I have a sizable hospital bill to pay before spending money on another handbag. Today I was at an outlet mall and stopped in the Coach outlet (I just can't resist) and was very disappointed in the quality of the bags that were there. Cheaply made, cheap leather - or fabric - something that I would equate to a bag I could buy at Kohl's. I've been in this outlet many times in the past years; have bought handbags there too. The quality definitely has decreased - they are not at all what I saw yesterday in the store. Don't know if this is a one-time thing because of the Columbus Day holiday and upcoming Christmas gift-buying, (they had a 30% coupon) or if this is now the norm. Amazingly, gals were buying by the armful- guess the name Coach was mesmerizing them.
