My cousin has given me her red D&B hobo. I don't know the name but it is leather, very large and zip top closure. It has 2 pockets on front with straps that snap to close the pockets. I believe the leather is pebbled. We were together at Belks when she bought this bag and she knew I loved it.

She has carried this purse for more than a year, solid and then left it in the floor of her closet piled with shoes. The strap look rather dirty so I dampened a paper towel and rubbed it. Red came off! Should I attempt to clean the whole bag? I really think it needs it but I don't want to stain my clothing.

Any suggestion? I have some leather cleaner that I've used to wipe down my leather couch. Should I use this? My couch is dark brown and there is never any brown on the cloth.
