Went to clarks outlet this morning and tried on a lot of clark shoes that they show Qvc.  They were mostly uncomfortable.  It seemed they had no arch support and hit at all the wrong places.  There was just no comfort in any of the shoes.  The cloud steppers were padded but not shaped to fit my foot.  So glad I did not order any of these.

I've always worn a 9w in Clark's, the last 2 pairs I purchased on QVC didn't fit at all. I haven't given up on the brand but like you, will only buy after trying them on. My favorite Clark's is the Sixty Cruise, liked them so much I purchased 3 prs, only 1 left. Sadly they're discontined but would love to find another pair.

i totally agree aubegirl. i've done the same a while back, and absolutely none of the shoes i was interested in, were comfortable. i do have a pair of boots that are years old and they're the best. i always wear them when i travel and can walk all day in them. i haven't found anything as good from clarks since.

I tried on the Medora Nina since I think it is so cute.  It is the flat with the ankle strap.  It would have been comfortable but it hit right on the bone that is at the top of the big toe.  I don't have a bunion or anything and never had a problem with that.  It just hit at the worst possible place and was tight only in that spot.

I have a few prs of Clark's from years gone by. I've also cleaned out clothes, purses and shoes and have given many Clark's away in the mix. I'm not sure what's happened with their styles the last 2-3 years, they either all look alike, they're 'old-fashioned' and certain not for my taste in shoes. Clark's used to offer a lot of really cool updated styles in shoes, sandals and boots but not anymore.

I am still happy most of the time with my Clarks purchases.  Interesting that @chiclet finds the cloud steppers uncomfortable.  I thought I was the only one - they really kill my feet !

Clark's are no longer the shoes for me; however, at one time all of my work shoes for the office, were Clark's.   I specifically favored the shoes with an accordion heel.

All of my Clark's were broken in when my bad knee was at it's worst, which resulted in my foot turning slightly outward, creating an odd wear pattern in my shoes.   After my knee replacement, my foot was aligned straight again, so my work shoes no longer felt good on my foot, so I got rid of all my shoes, and purchased new ones.   By this time, the accordion heels had been replaced, and I was not  finding comfortable shoes in this brand.

In the meantime, both daughters had multiple pairs of Clark's loafers they tossed due to the shoes literally falling apart, or developing a terrible odor no product could remove.   All 3 of us moved away from this brand at that point, and have never gone back.
