Last year I purchased a pair of Vionics because I had a pain in my heel.  I find them to be more money than I would like to spend.  I have never worn Clarks and I was wondering if anyone has both Clarks and Vionics and can tell me if there is a difference in the shoe for comfort?

The Vionic has the built in orthotic (arch).  I don't believe Clark has that.  I have to wear orthotics or a shoe with built in orthotics or my feet pronate and my back goes out.

I also like the Earth brand -has an arch in them and are very comfortable.

Clarks can be well made and comfortable but they have no support---not even an arch in them.    So, if comfort means support, forget Clarks shoes.     Earth brands have comfort and support.

Vionics may cost more but what price is foot pain for you?    Look for clearance prices.

While I agree with the comments in this thread, the how comfortable or supportive a shoe feels will range widely amongst individuals.  I have foot issues yet Vionic is not as comfortable for me as Clarks.  I speak particularly of Clarks Unstructured which do have support features in addition to the spongy comfort built into the footbed. My feel feel fine with Earths brands too.

Unless Cherjoy chooses to limit the options to Clarks or Vionics, and purchasing from QVC, there are dozens of brands comfortable more than both.  Some of those brands are in the same price range as both.  I suggest a trip to Nordstrom's shoe department which sells Clarks and Vionic along with some of the other brands I am referring to so that you can try on in store.  If you don't have a Nordstrom try your local Macy's.  You may find something you like and may still be able to buy that brand from QVC if that is your preference (Alegria for example which feel great on my feet).

I purchased Vionic sandals for heel pain and they made a world of difference! I'm not a huge fan of Clarks. @Happy2000twou

If the doctor has told you that you need an orthotic then try vionics - the orthotic is built in. If you have an orthotic you need to wear - you will need to  wear it in your Clarks. Clarks are very comfortable but if I wear them for a long time my heel will make me pay for it unless it is a shoe I can wear with my orthotic.

I have very flat feet and have to wear really comfortable shoes with arch support.  Clarks are not comfortable for me.

I find Alegria to be infinitely more comfortable that either Clark's or Vionic, and if you know where to look they can be found at discounted prices.  All of these brands can be found from time to time on Zulily.  You have to check daily for their featured items.  I believe they have Clark's right now.
