I was thrilled to see these Clark's Bendables Ruby at a clearance price and have been desperately trying to find a shootie in navy, so ordered them in 8W. I'm normally a size 8, but wanted to wear with the Legacy fleecy socks. The fit is spot on and feels great, however, there is a gap where the shoe comes up to around the ankle. I really wanted to wear these with tights and casual skirts as well as pants, so the gaping is unfortunately a deal breaker.
My question is, are they SUPPOSED to fit that way or should I return for a regular 8M or even a 7.5W?
Does the size make a difference with the circumference of the shoe at the ankle? I don't want to do the return dance with the Q if I'm going to get the same issue in a different size.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
