Clark Shoes Too Loose In The Heel

Within the past several years I have purchased several pairs of suede wedge heels from Clark's, not through Q but elsewhere, the shoes keep slipping off at the heels when walking, I did purchase leather heel grips through Amazon with a 3" thickness, still the shoes slip when I walk.  Has anyone had issues like this and what can you suggest to help.  Unfortunately, it's too late to return to the stores for refunds.  Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem, tried the heel inserts, still had slippage in the heel.  My solution - gave them away to Goodwill.   Also, I have stopped buying Clarks shoes.

@Stevie Nix...was aiming towards the donation route, I do really like these wedge styles, but cannot wear them, thought I'd check with the forum first for suggestions....thanks for your input.

@SoCal Bred   I have the same problem with narrow heels.  I tried the heel grips but they didn't work and were very uncomfortable.  What I do like is a sole insert that goes under the front ball of the foot.  They are usually 2" round or oval shape.  They keep your foot from slipping forward and the heel stays in place.  I think these would help you.

I have had the same issue with Clarks shoes.  (I am disappontedI because I need a wide width and  the company is one of a few that offers them at an affordable price.)

I won't order Clarks shoes again.

@winediva ....I wear a wide width shoe as well, but all of the other Clark's shoes that I have purchased in leather I have had no issues with the heels slipping, only the suede style.  I'm with you, I have given up on Clark shoes.

I would highly suggest the Foot Smart site and catalog.  They have almost anything someone could need for feet and shoes!

Re: Clark Shoes Too Loose In The Heel

Clarks used to be my favorite brand of shoes. I have a narrow foot and their narrows were really narrow and always comfortable. A few years ago, their shoes got wider and I can no longer depend on their sizing. Also noticed the quality suffered, the soles came completely separated from the shoe on the last two pairs of Clarks. Sad because they used to be really nice and comfortable shoes. Sorry I can't offer any suggestions but I can surely feel your pain.

Re: Clark Shoes Too Loose In The Heel

I no longer buy Clarks because of the soles falling apart, but styles I used to wear were the clogs and slides with open backs. Never could wear any enclosed Clarks shoe because my foot needs width in the front, but I have a narrow heel. It's not just Clarks. I love Alegria shoes because of the good support, but again I cannot wear their enclosed styles because their heel area is too wide. It's difficult to find well fitting shoes when your foot is shaped like an inverted triangle. Tie shoes work best but of course not very stylish. I'm lucky to live in South where I can get away with sandals most of the year.

Ditto here.  I had the heel problem with a couple of pairs of Clarks.  Sent them back.  Also, I was disappointed in the comfort level of the highly -touted "Cloudsteppers" by Clark.  Not very comfortable at all.  Sent them back.  Clarks is not a brand I order any more.
