I'm seeing this on boots everywhere this fall. When I first saw it in a department store, I thought the boots had a mark on the toe. Then I saw it's on the heel too. I've noticed it more and more, including on the Clark's TSV boots. None of my boots have it, but then most are black or dark brown! I don't know. What do you all think about it?

I like it a lot.  It gives the leather character, like distressing on fine antique furniture.

I like the look.  Three seasons ago I purchased a lace-up military style boot in sueded army green.  They were Nine West.  I still have them and will wear them for the fourth season.  The more I wear them the better they look.  I also purchased a couple suede ankle boots with that look last year.

@beach-mom I'm on the fence... Not sure about the look. Maybe one inexpensive great looking pair of boots!!!

Burnished toes on suede boots look dirty and worn to me. I like some overall burnished leathers but not that worn toe look.

The last 3 boots and 1 shoe I bought this fall have the burnished leather toes, I love the look. I sometimes hesitate to wear shoes when they are are brand new and shiny-too new looking. The burnished leather takes care of that problem and gives the footwear a unique character.

I think a little goes a long way. I have some boots with that, but I don't want it on every pair. I do like it on the boots that I have.

@Debzzz  Just read the "Behind the Scenes" blog about your Earth Shoes live audience visit at the Q.  I enjoyed reading it and watching the videos. So happy that you and your mom (and husband!) were able to go. Sounds like you had a great time!

I purchased the Earth Brand tall TSV boots last month.  They have the burnished, distressed look and I absolutely love them.  I worried that they would be for a younger (much younger) woman but the more I wear them the more I love them!
