Black marks being left on vinyl flooring....

Am returning a pair of Clark's Bendable slip in shoes ( one wide band and two narrower ones above it with braiding ) because the soles leave black marks on my floor. I don't need any extra work around the house. Would have thought they could have easily averted this problem in selecting better components. How annoying....
