I've had the same thoughts and I agree with your suggestion.

They used to feature more belts in fashions shows but I suppose that's another practice that has hit the skids.

I agree with you Applesauce! Question....Why do they whisk away the models when an item sells out in a particular color and hurry them along when models continue to wear sold out items? Makes No sense.

Just a suggestion for those who love belts: Goodwill and other thrift stores are great places to find good quality and sometimes unusual belts for just a dollar or two. People often discard belts because they decide they don't enjoy wearing a particular style or because they gain or lose weight and their belts don't fit or flatter any more. I've seen beautiful leather belts, suede belts, hand-tooled western belts, belts with ornate or jeweled buckles, men's belts, bright, colorful belts -- all kinds of belts. Don't miss the belt rack the next time you're on a "thrift adventure"! And belts can be so expensive in regular stores........

I have some beautiful belts and add a few each year. I get a lot from White House, Black Market; Chicos (both of those really are great with scarves too), Belks and Dillards, and their .com. like Ralph Lauren stretch belts. Soft Surrounds.com has pretty belts and clothing that is extremely soft. I also have several from Vince Camuto.com., and
Keep in mind nice leather belts or leather with stretch in back aren't cheep, but you can ear them forever. If it comes from a discount house like Stein Mart, it will look it, and I never buy those. This is Ralph Lauren. I have it in gold and his elastic is very comfortable.

I actually collect belts. Most are from Ebay or Goodwill stores. I do tend to wear western belts or the elastic kind with interesting buckles. They do stretch and were popular in the 80's. They have been revived in some ways and in my case are used for square dance attire.
