I'm looking at the ODO.....this aubergine looks purple.  The aubergine in the TSV looked wine. Anyone else see a difference? I don't want purple boots. :-[

Re: Aubergine....Help please!!

I had to check Google for myself as I thought it looked purple but the Q has said use as a brown.  Google said it is the color of a dark purple eggplant, a brownish-purple.

Re: Aubergine....Help please!!

This looks like a true aubergine to me.  I did not like it on the TSV.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Re: Aubergine....Help please!!

IMO, the aubergine I'm familiar with is more of an eggplant color.

I was contemplating that color as well and decided to go with the gray.

Aubergine - an odd color I think.  Everyone who creates this color creates it differently I think.  I've seen it looking more purpleish, sometimes more burgundy.

I just like to say this word - aubergine.  OOLALA so french-like!

Re: Aubergine....Help please!!

I started to cancel my order this morning, but after checking a few other Clarks boots and shoes in the aubergine color, I think I'll try them.  They appear to be more "purple" in the suede styles, which is what I saw last night in the ODO.  I'm really hoping for more of a wine/burgundy boot, not purple.

Photos can be deceiving, so I guess we'll see.  I think I heard Amy describe them as a deep burgundy during one of the early presentations.

Thanks for all of your comments!

Re: Aubergine....Help please!!

The color is a nice deep burgundy.  I got the TSV in that color.  I have way too much black, and this color is dark enough it can actually be worn as black.  It's my way of adding a slight bit of color in the winter.

UPDATE: Re: Aubergine Clarks TSV

Whew!  I worried for no reason.  These are just PERFECT!!  I haven't written my review yet, but just wanted to let people know that these are not PURPLE.  I worried when I saw another pair of Clarks later in the day in the aubergine color which, in my opinion, were more purple than burgundy.  These boots are not brown, nor are they red; they are a mix of wine/burgundy/maroon which is exactly what I wanted and missed out on last year.  I'm between 6.5M and 7M -- went with 7M and they fit perfect.  Crazy comfortable and just adorable.

Love!!!!!!!
